Project. Since the tragedy of September 11th, the World Trade Center complex in lower Manhattan has been undergoing a revitalization with construction of the World Trade Buildings 1, 4 and 7. World Trade Center 3 is the latest and was completed with the utmost design consideration and respect to the World Trade Center memorial site. With views on the south memorial falls, WTC3 is a feature tower at the eastern side of the complex.
Construction. Makro Architecture VISION fabric interlayer AL 140/50 was chosen for its unique ability to create depth in a traditional two-dimensional glass surface. The entrance atrium and elevator banks were designed to create an elegant and modern entrance which match the metallic exterior appearance of World Trade Center 3. Makro Architecture’s fabric interlayer provides a textile appearance to the glass which creates a distinct appearance.
