Project. As Guadalajara continues its progression as a top metropolitan city in Mexico, areas like the mid-town district are seeing redevel-opment after years of neglect. The Jalisco development is a pioneering mixed use commercial plot which will house a Hyatt hotel, retail shops, underground parking and future high end office space and residential condominiums.
Concept/Design. The design team desired their feature build-ing to be prominent and distinguishable from others. The rich copper of the Makro Architecture VISION’s PR 260/25 immediately was chosen as it complimented the current earth tones of the adjacent legacy buildings, while highlighting the new building.
Construction. The façade consultants utilized Makro Architecture VISION’s ability to reduce solar gain to improve the interior heat loading and utilized the glare reduction properties of the Vision mesh to make the interior space more pleasant for owners and tenants. The constantly changing effect of the fabric gives a living appearance to the façade.
