Project. Rising like a beacon at the head of South Dock, Dollar Bay marks a new place of re-development and provides a striking addition to Canary Wharf’s impressive skyline.
Rising to 31 storeys, the building’s crystal-line form is driven by the internal planning of 125 light-filled, spacious and comfortable homes that enjoy large uninterrupted vistas. At the tower’s base the previously underused waterfront area is rejuvenated and fully accessible, including a landscaped setting, outdoor seating, public art and a café for all to enjoy.
Construction. The building rises as two elegant crystal-line forms fused together by the joint of the circulation core. The Makro Architecture VISION fabric was used for the laminated façade on ground / first floor (gold printed on inside and outside) and for the corridor façade (gold printed outside only). The laminated glass is part of an insulating glass.
